Ellis Island

Ellis Island, truly one of the most historic places in the history of America. Ellis Island is the very first place our ancestors arrived when they came to America. Recently the state of New York has been lobbying to tear down the southern side of the Ellis Island buildings. These buildings were once disease wards, recreational halls, theaters and morgues. An organization called the "Save Ellis Island" has been trying to raise awareness of the state of New York's plans to tear down the southern side and trying to lobby people to complain to the state about this. The "Save Ellis Island" campaign has recruited celebrities such as former San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana. Do you agree with the state of New York's plan to tear down part of Ellis Island or disagree?
